The International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing, PLASTPOL 2023, is now history. Over four days, it gathered nearly 600 companies from 26 countries worldwide, covering an area of almost 14,000 square meters. It was one of the largest exhibitions in the plastics industry in recent years. Exhibitors from Poland and abroad showcased their latest machinery, equipment, solutions, and technologies. The best of them were recognized by the PLATINIUM PLAST competition jury.
Among the recognized materials was our innovative biodegradable granulate, BIOCOM Starch, with a unique composition of thermoplastic starch, which we presented at the trade fair.
Unlike standard plastics, this material is fully biodegradable and made entirely from natural ingredients.
„The current edition of the PLASTPOL Trade Fair significantly reinforced our belief that there is immense interest in bio-based materials in our industry. We are particularly delighted by this, especially because during this year’s fair, we had the pleasure of presenting our latest biodegradable granulate based on thermoplastic starch, BIOCOM Starch” – added Piotr Pacyga, CEO of Compositive.
One of the production presentations involving injection molding technology using this innovative biodegradable granulate took place at the MARPRO booth, the exclusive distributor of Haitian and Zhafir injection molding machines in Poland.
The search for bio-based materials as an alternative to conventional plastics presents a significant opportunity for Compositive, both for development and for promoting this ecological trend in Poland. It’s worth noting that in Western Europe, the use of bio-based materials in various industries is much more widespread, while Poland is slowly opening up to practical applications of such solutions.
The PLASTPOL Fair, although very intense, was also a good time to establish new business relationships and maintain contact with current clients. We thank everyone for visiting our booth, and see you next year.
